Analytics
You can view analytics for each planning unit to track its different measures over the planning period. Decide what dimensions you need and then navigate to the corresponding tab of the analytics area.
The current article describes the analysis based on the demand details.
Demand analysis
To open Demand analysis, first, click Analytics on the left pane of the planning unit, and then switch to the Demand analysis tab.
Here you can view analytics for your demand planning within the current unit. To start exploring the demand analysis, first, select the demand scenario you need from the drop-down box, as well as specify the planning year and define filters, if needed.
Once you select the first planning year from the drop-down box at the top of the tab, only data for this year is considered and shown in the Workforce demand bar chart. If you select the second or any next year of the planning period, data for that year as well as for all previous years of the planning period is considered and shown in the Workforce demand bar chart.
You can filter data on the Demand analysis tab by attributes and different factors that influence demand. To this end, click Filter on the command bar, and then select the filter you need in the pane that opens.
The following driver impact filters are available:
-
- Driver categories
- Drivers
- Other impact types (include manual demand changes and combined driver models)
Your selection of the driver categories implies availability of drivers you can select, and vice versa. Once you select a driver category, or a driver, or both, no other impact types are available for the filter selection. It is a standalone filter type.
Now that you have defined the criteria you need, you can view the related demand planning analytics.
Info cards
Have a look at the info cards to get rates of the demand analysis:
- Demand change shows the ratio of gap to demand.
- Roles in increasing demand shows the number of roles having the increasing demand.
- Roles in decreasing demand shows the number of roles having the decreasing demand.
Roles are defined while managing attributes by Administrator. An attribute is set as a job role and used as the main attribute for the demand analysis. So, you can view demand changes in regard to this attribute (role).
If no role is defined, you can see N/A instead of the role number.
Workforce demand
The Workforce demand bar chart presents a data visualization of your demand changes in the upcoming years per the scenario you have previously defined.
You can select how to display data in the bar chart: either demand change values per each next year comparing to the previous year or absolute demand values per each planning year.
Impacts on the workforce demand
The Impacts on the workforce demand bar charts present a data visualization of the impact that different factors have to your workforce demand. These factors include driver values and their categories, driver models as well as demand changes set manually.
You can also download data available in the charts. To this end, click the three lines button at the top right of a chart, and then select the format in the context menu that appears.
Demand trends
Check out the Demand trends table to view which attribute values are increasing, or decreasing, or both by demand.
To select an attribute by which you want to display the demand trends, use the attribute drop-down box at the top right of the table.
The selected attribute is shown for both lists of the Demand trends table.
By default, the attribute selected on the Scenario details tab under Trends is preselected here as well as for all available tabs of Analytics.
Values in the table can be shown as absolute or relative. To set how to show values, use the drop-down box at the top right of the table.
You can also download data available in the table. To this end, click the three lines button at the top right of the table, and then select the format in the context menu that appears.
