Data privacy

Data privacy is a key part of Data Protection area. It means keeping data safe from unauthorized access. smartPeople is responsible for managing the data it collects and complies with strict rules around protecting customer data.

smartPeople informs users about their rights and all the regulations under personal data protection as well as gets permission and consent from them before using their personal data. These data privacy settings can be defined and managed in the Ludi Cloud user management system.

To this end, follow the steps listed below:

1. Log in to the Ludi Cloud user management system.
2. On the navigation menu, click Setup, and then click Data privacy. On the Data privacy tab, you can manage the data privacy settings for applications.
3. To enable displaying a data privacy message and consenting it by a user upon the initial login, turn on the toggle.
4. Define a language of the consent message by selecting the one you need in the Language box. Here you can also add a language, by clicking + Add language in the Language drop-down list, and then selecting the language you want to add.
5. Add a text for the data privacy statement in the corresponding language.

Changes you make are saved automatically and take effect immediately.

It is also possible to request the user’s consent again anytime you need. To this end, click Request consent again, and then confirm your decision by clicking Request consent. Once done, all users must confirm the terms of use upon the next login to a smartApp.
