Skill validation is a method to authenticate the possession of knowledge and competencies. If validating the professional knowledge is required in your company, you then need to confirm your qualification.
The Licenses and certificates tab becomes available under Summary on the My skill details page once it is turned on by your administrator.
If you have not validated a skill yet or the validation period is about to expire, you get a notification that displays under the skill description. To validate the skill, you need to upload issued certificates or licenses. It depends on the validation settings defined in the skill library.
If you do not validate your skill before the due date, and if it is defined in the skill validation settings, the skill will be removed from your profile.
Depending on the skill validation settings, you may need to validate either the possession of a definite skill or its proficiency levels. You may also need to complete a specific training. You can find these details under Skill validation requirements.
Depending on the skill validation requirements, you may need to upload one or more issued certificates.
To start uploading a certificate, click Upload, and then follow instructions on the screen.
Once you upload your certificates, you can see them listed under Uploaded licenses and certificates.
