To get the most complete and comprehensive information about any skill of your profile, click that skill and drill down to the My skill details page.
Here you can view a skill description, manage the skill, as well as get a skill summary on the following:
You can also access the skill details page from the other users’ profiles. For example, when you search for a talent in the Talents area, open that talent’s profile. In the skill list, click any skill and drill down to the skill details page to access the skill summary view.
Beyond that, users of the Moderator role are granted the permissions to manage skills in the other users’ profiles.
On the skill details page, you can apply different actions to the skill.
To view a full skill description, click one of the following links:
- Show more to view a full skill description in a separate window.
- Read more on Wikipedia to visit Wikipedia for the skill description.
- Company information to visit your company’s learning platform for the skill description.
Availability of links depends on the skill settings in the skill library.
To change the skill’s proficiency level, click the three dots button, and then click Change level or click Change level next to the skill name. Once done, click the three dots button, and then click Close levels or click Close next to the skill name.
To make the skill your favorite, just click the heart icon. Otherwise, you can click the three dots button, and then click Add to favorites.
To remove the skill, click the three dots button, and then click Remove from profile.
As a skill summary, you can view a list of talents who also have the same skill added to their profiles. To this end, click Talents under Summary.
To view a talent’s profile, click that talent’s record in the list. Otherwise, you can point to the talent’s record, click the three dots button, and then click Open profile.
You can also view talent’s contact details. To this end, point to the talent’s record, click the three dots button, and then click Show contact details. As a result, the contact details are shown in a separate window.
If there are more than 10 talent records in the list, you can view the whole list by clicking Show more. As a result, the Talents page opens in a new tab. You can see the talent records filtered by the specified skill on the page.
As a skill summary, you can view a list of open job posts with the specified skill. To this end, click Open job posts under Summary.
To view a job post and show your interest in it, click that post’s tile.
If there are more than 9 post tiles, click Browse more. As a result, the Browse page opens in a new tab. You can start browsing to find more open job posts.
As a skill summary, you can view a list of trainings to learn or improve the specified skill. To this end, click Trainings under Summary.
To view training details, click that training record in the list.
You can also mark a training as your favorite. To this end, click the heart icon in the training picture. To remove the training from the list of your favorites, click the heart icon once again.
If there are more than 10 training records in the list, you can view the whole list by clicking Show more. As a result, the Learning page opens. You can see that the training records are filtered by the specified skill on the page.
As a skill summary, you can view a list of related skills. To this end, click Related skills under Summary.
To view related skill details, click that skill record in the list. As a result, the skill details page opens in a new tab.
You can also add any skill to your profile or as a development target.
To add a related skill to your profile, click the plus icon within the skill record, define its proficiency level, and then click Add skill to profile.
To add a related skill as a development target, click the plus icon within the skill record, and then click Add as development target.
Once any of the related skills is already added to your profile, it still shows in the list. You can make it as your favorite skill. To this end, click the heart icon within that skill record.
