Search for talents

The talent finder functionality is designed to help you search for and discover right talents or gain insights about your workforce.

You can access the Talents area by clicking Talents on the navigation menu to the left of the screen. Once navigated to the Talents page, you can start a new search and find the best match among talents of your company.

To this end, follow the steps listed below:

1. Start by defining how you prefer to search for talents: by skill, job title or by name. To this end, select your preferred option from the list on the search bar.

Depending on the search option you have selected in the previous step, do one of the following:

  • For searching by skill: select a skill library, and then type a skill name or a keyword. While typing, a list of search suggestions is shown. Select the one you need, and then specify a proficiency level for it.
If a skill you are searching for has not been added by any user, you can see the Skill-not-added-icon icon next to it in the list of search suggestions.

Talents with a lower skill proficiency level are still displayed, but they receive a lower matching score and appear further down in the list of results.

Once you add a skill and define a level for it, the skill is shown under Selected skills. If skills related to the one you have specified are available, they are listed under Related skills.

You can add more than one skill as search criteria. A number of skills you have defined is shown next to the down pointed arrow on the search bar. You can click it to close or open the search criteria box.

3. Continue specifying your search criteria by defining your location preferences. Like in the profile, you can add a city with a radius up to 100km, state, or even the whole country. In addition, you can select the remote option as well.

When searching by name, you do not need defining a location.

4. Once you are done with defining search criteria, click Search.

The results matching your search criteria are returned.

You can organize records in the list by sorting them by name, matching score, location, or number of matched skills. To this end, click Sort by, and then select the option you need.

If the list is too long, you can choose how many records to display per page. In addition, you can use pagination to navigate your search results.

If needed, you can further narrow down your search results applying additional filters on the left.

View matching skills

Once you search by skill, you can get more information about skill matches for a talent, preview what matching skills the talent has and how precise they are by pointing to the skill count label in the search result list.
