General settings

The General settings tab opens by default when you navigate to the Administration page.

On this tab, you can manage general settings of the application.

  • For the present jobs that users add to their profiles:
    • Activate multiple present jobs – being enabled, allows each user to select multiple present jobs while setting up their user profile.
    • Only allow standardized jobs – being enabled, allows each user to define only those job titles which are available in one of the libraries in smartLibrary. This library must also be connected to smartPeople. No free text titles are possible.
  • For the future and past jobs that users add to their profiles:
    • Only allow standardized jobs – being enabled, allows each user to define only those job titles which are available in one of the libraries in smartLibrary. This library must also be connected to smartPeople. No free text titles are possible.

To enable or disable a setting, use the toggle available within each settings record. By default, all settings are enabled.

Changes you make are saved automatically and take effect immediately. As a result, these system settings are applied and affect experience for all users of smartPeople.
