Use the smartPeople platform to search for jobs. You can browse the platform and find jobs among all available jobs matching your profile as well as among those for which you have been invited. To this end, use the Browse menu.
Search for a job
To search for a job, you can use the search field available at the top of the Browse page. To this end, follow the steps listed below:
1. On the navigation menu, click Browse to open the Browse page.
2. On the Browse tab of the page, start typing a job title to the search box, and then select the one you need from the list of suggestions.
3. Once you are done, click Search to return the search results. You can see a list of posts returned based on the job title.
If no results are returned for your search, you get tips to adjust your search.
For each posting, you can see a matching status (potential, perfect, or exceeds), if any.
To pick out the result that matches your search criteria most closely or just to make a large number of results easier to work with, you can sort a list of posts by posting date, title, job matching, skill matching or keywords. To this end, click Sort by at the top right-hand corner of the list, and then select the required option.
4. Click a post record to open it, and thus, get job details. Here you can view locations where the job is available as well as job requirements, including a number of skills matched.
You can also add any skill from the list to your profile or your development targets. To this end, first, click the plus sign within that skill record, and then click the command of your choice: Add a skill to profile or Add as development target.
5. Click Interested at the top right-hand corner of the page, so the posting creator can see that you are interested in the job, and you can start discussing it.
Once you click Interested, you are redirected back to the search result list, and you can continue considering posts.
Find a job based on your current or future job, or skills
You can pick out a job among recommendations based either on your current or future job, or based on your skills. To this end, follow the steps listed below:
1. On the navigation menu, click Browse to open the Browse page.
2. On the Browse tab of the page, locate the Jobs for you, Jobs for your future jobs, or Jobs based on your skills section depending on your current preferences. In each section, you can see a number of jobs matching your current or future job, or skills respectively.
Once you get the results, you can finetune available filters until the desired job records are displayed. To this end, click Filter, and then use filters available in the Filter by pane. Filters are grouped by the following criteria:
- Skill matching
- Locations
If a number of recommendations per section is large, click Expand to view all available job cards. Otherwise, you can move through the job cards within a section using left or right pointed arrows.
Every job card shows you a number of matching skills, a job title, locations as well as when a job was posted.
To view the whole list of job recommendations based on your current or future job, or skills on a separate page, click Show all within a section of your choice.
3. To view job details, click a job card in the section you choose. If you have navigated to the list of posts, click the job record in the list.
As a result, the Job details page opens. Here you can view locations where the job is available as well as job requirements, including a number of skills matched.
4. Click Interested at the top right-hand corner of the page, so the posting creator can see that you are interested in the job, and you can start discussing it.
Once you click Interested button, you are redirected back to the page from which you have navigated to job details, and you can continue considering the other posts.
Find a job among job invites
You can receive job invitations, and thus, try to get a job for which you have been invited. To this end, follow the steps listed below:
1. On the navigation menu, click Browse to open the Browse page.
2. On the Browse page switch to the Invited tab.
You can easily define if you have any new invitations available on the Invited tab. Once you have been invited to a job, you can see a dot next to the tab name.
3. On the Invited tab, click a job record in the list of posts to open the Job details page where you can get more details about that job.
4. Click Interested if you are interested in the job. As a result, the posting creator gets a corresponding notification, and you can start a discussion of what the next steps are.
