Analytics
You can view analytics for several metrics and track different measures. Decide what metrics you need and then navigate to the corresponding tab of the analytics area.
The current article describes the gap analysis.
Availability of the Analytics area in general and in particular of its sections depends on the admin settings and an app role you are granted.
Current gap analysis
To open Current gap analysis, first, click Analytics on the navigation menu, and then switch to the Current gap analysis tab.
Here you can view the analytics of skill gaps both for your teams in particular and your company in general. To this end, switch between two options (Default requirements and Edited requirements) and get a detailed skill gap analysis based on the job requirements defined at the company level and the ones a team leader edited for the team members.
Before you start exploring the details and show the relevant analytics information, you can also define filters or select a skill category.
Progress bar
Have a look at the progress bar to get the following data based on the job requirements and employees of your company:
- The percentage of matching skills.
- The percentage of missing proficiency levels required for skills.
- The percentage of missing required skills.
Job skills
The Job skills bar charts present a data visualization of skill gaps in your company by job family and job itself based on their current job requirements.
A skill gap refers to the disparity between the skills defined as job requirements and the actual skills employees possess. It also implies a mismatch between a proficiency level of the the skill an employee possesses and a proficiency level of this skill defined as a job requirement.
You can select how to filter data in the bar charts:
- by percentage of total skill gap
- by missing skills
- by missing proficiency levels
You can download the bar charts in the Excel file format. To this end, click the cloud button at the top right of the chart section.
Missing skills
To uncover the missing skills between employees’ current skill set compared to the skills required for the jobs, check out the Missing skills chart and table.
Each slice of the pie chart represents different chunks of data. These are the top 5 job families missing the skills and the Other chunk. The table displays all skills that employees are missing and the number of employees per each such skill.
You can filter the table. To this end, click a job family chunk in the pie chart. As a result, the chart displays the number of missing skills only for the selected job family. Whereas the skills belonging to the selected job family populate the table.
To remove the filter and return to the initial view, click Remove filter.
You can download the chart in the Excel file format. To this end, click the cloud button at the top right of the chart section.
